More and more of you are asking us for directions by car from the Netherlands/Belgium to the sunny Costa Blanca and we are very happy about it, because we also choose this transport option most often! So we have prepared a mini-guide that will help you organize your trip

What should you prepare for when traveling to Spain by car? First of all, beautiful views! You will pass through the Netherlands and/or Belgium, France and Spain. Of course, the landscape will be slightly different depending on the exact route you choose, but the Pyrenees are always breathtaking!

Now let's get down to specifics!

Applications -> Before leaving, it is worth downloading a few useful applications:

• Waze – shows radars, gas stations and informs about motorway prices,

• Pace Drive: Find & Pay for gas – allows you to search for gas stations and pay for fuel,

Thanks to this, you will be able to plan and control travel costs.

Route and stops -> Personally, we recommend the route through Lyon - we tested several options and this one is definitely the best. The journey from the Netherlands will take about 20 hours and from Belgium about 18 hours. Of course, you can make a stop along the way - it all depends on how many drivers you have on board.

If you want to stay, we recommend the city of Perpignan in France. It is located very close to the highway and you will find many hotels there - accommodation prices start from EUR 32/2 people. You will reach Perpignan from the Netherlands in about 13 hours, and from Belgium in 11 hours. This means that on the second day you will only have 7-8 hours of driving along an extremely picturesque route and... voila! You can enjoy all the charms of the sunny Costa Blanca!
